Amanda Writes : L’ange Hair Care Products Review

Recently, after seeing a Live hair tutorial on Facebook, I started following a few influencers who are brand ambassadors for L’ange Hair. Their hair tutorials were great and they raved about the products. I was intrigued but of course I speculated if the products were truly that great or just the hype of their obviously good marketing campaign.

So I looked into their company a little more. They have countless positive reviews on a lot of their products (though there are a few complaints, I was glad to see them because it meant that they had real people reviewing their products) and I reviewed the comments in the influencers I was following and people seemed to really enjoy the products they had received.

My only real drawback was the price tag. $20 + is a lot to spend on what I consider a small amount of product (though most reviewers stated that the product went a long ways). So I continued to mull it over and figured after the holidays I’d splurge on it to try it out.

A little backstory. Since having Amelia, 2.5 years ago, I feel like my hair just hasn’t been the same. It dries out easily and I get a lot of breakage on my ends. Now I do use a salon quality Shampoo and Conditioner that has never failed me before but it didn’t seem to be working on my post pregnancy hair. Now with two kids, I do admit that I probably don’t spend as much time on my hair maintenance as I once was but even after getting my hair cut it doesn’t seem long before it doesn’t feel fresh anymore.

In addition to my own hair concerns, Amelia has naturally curly/wavy/crazy hair. And while I absolutely love it, she doesn’t make it easy to care for. She fights anytime we have to do her hair and honestly if it isn’t freshly washed it can be a pain to style.

So between the two of us, I was looking for products that would help manage/protect our hair (Maddilyn has one of those heads of hair that just goes with the flow. You want it up, it looks great. You want it down, it flows down her back so gracefully. I’m quite jealous!). So when the L’ange brand ambassadors I had started following began advertising about L’ange’s $9.00 Hair Care sale I couldn’t pass up a chance to try their products at a discounted price.

I ended up ordering 4 products: Rival – Heat SheildManagé – Marula Oil Hydrating Mist, Sorbet -Botanical Smoothing Balm, and Grand Début – Root Booster. Now I have only been using these products for about a week now and I have to say I’m overall impressed.

My favorite product for me is the Rival – Heat Sheild. It has an amazing smell and I can honestly feel the difference between using it on my hair and when I didn’t. I know I should have been using a heat protectant on my hair but just hadn’t found one that I really liked recently. This itself was worth the order, in my opinion.

My favorite products for Amelia’s hair has been the combination of Sorbet – Botanical Smoothing Balm after she gets out of the bath and then maintaining her hair with Managé – Marula Oil Hydrating Mist. One, her hair has never smelled so good. Two, it has been so much more manageable than I could have imagined. Her curls look soft and bouncy. It’s less frizzy even after sleeping on it. While she still doesn’t like the look of a comb, I’m able to use my fingers to just pull her hair out of her face. It’s been so much easier to do her hair in the mornings!

I also have been using the Sorbet after I’ve gotten out of the shower and can already feel like my hair is feeling smoother. I’ve only used the Managé once on the ends of my hair and loved that it seemed to give it a little hydration boost on second day hair. I have used hair oil in the past and have never repurchased because I always felt like my hair got too oily with it. But with my hair feeling dried out and the lightness of the Managé spray I haven’t felt that oily sensation in mine or Amelia’s hair since using it.

The jury is still out on the Grand Début – Root Booster, I do feel like it gave my hair a little more volume than normal but I’m not sure that it is as great as I thought it would be. I’ve only used it a few times and will keep using it but I haven’t decided if it would be worth a repurchase. I may just not be using enough of it or working it into my roots enough, so I will keep you posted.

Overall, I’d definitely recommend L’ange hair products if you’re in the market for something new for your hair. My hair has never felt smoother and looks shinier. The products, also, all smell amazing so if that’s important to you, you won’t be disappointed.

Amanda Writes : Pumpkin Cupcakes

So I am in no way a food blogger and didn’t have any plans of making this into a blog post when I made these delicious Pumpkin Cupcakes but there was some interest on Instagram so I figured I’d share!

PUMPKIN CUPCAKES WITH CINNAMON CREAM CHEESE FROSTING

I got the recipe from Lil Luna and while I would have normally followed the recipe to a T, I waited till the last minute to put this together and therefor went with pre-made frosting and added the cinnamon to it. (I used about 1 1/2 cans of pre-made frosting with about 1 1/2 teaspoons on cinnamon added).

These cupcakes came out absolutely delicious and moist. They were a quick recipe and would make a great last minute Thanksgiving dessert!

For the full recipe, go HERE!

Hope you guys enjoy! I’m sure you will! My husband has already requested a second batch be made after Thanksgiving!

And tag me on Instagram if you do try the recipe!!

Hope you guys have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
